Re: Important info re tyres and Longstone
Had Pirellis on my VW Passat fourmotion-one developed a bulge mysteriously and another gave a 'wheel bearing noise' and turned out to be not running concentrically ( all four wheels off deck and car in gear)-only noticeable by seeing it spinning with a pointer near! (had bought these online from rep...

3.8 indicator switch
Hi, looking at my indicator switch after ignoring its non- cancelling for 20 odd years!
I have the early 3.8 type with the ‘return striker’ C.16451 which does not look as if it can ‘reach’ the moving nylon part on the switch- is there any adjustment available( does not look as if there is!)

Thanks for photos Steve. Does the 'opening' face the rear of the car?- mine currently face the front.

Re: Ill- fitting doors / where to get better door seals ?
Okay, looking at COH Baines website they show the B post seals but don't show the profile (got a feeling that mine are totally wrong , being an open 'C' cross-section like the rear hatch). Anyone got a clear photo?
Thanks
Thanks

I understood that the seal fits with he curve inwards facing so that water can go down the inside of the 'curve' and escape via the bottom drain hole??

B post rubbers-orientation??
Hi, Looking at renewing the 'B' post door seals -which way round do they go?........I reckon it 's 'opening' to the rear. Am I correct? (I think mine are in incorrectly with 'opening' to the front!)

Door Drain rubber tubing size
Hi,
Can anyone tell me the I.D. of the rubber drain hoses that go from the top , forward drain hole to the bottom ,Internally, of the doors? Going to try and replace these without removing window mechanisms-maybe need to get a small handed daughter to help!

Re: FHC rear hatch seal (again!)
Hi Richard, What adhesive did you use? Seem to remember seeing a post about using E6000 but I've never heard of it and on looking into it , the bumf said it was 'permanent"! Inclined to use Evostik or similar.

Well suggested Malcolm!- just went and had a look- oil level now 2/3rds way up hatching! Guess that's the level!
Funny that Jaguar said to leave for just a minute after switch off to check oil!

FHC rear hatch seal (again!)
Hi, About to order a new seal for rear hatch. Will get it from C O Baines (1 continuous length ) and leave a gap at lowest point round body drain hole. ( this looks to be the way it's fitted from Parts Book and the Factory Fit 3.8 photos).
Is this the perceived wisdom??
