And you can scroll the various pics in the factory fit S1 3.8 + 4.2, vast majority has the aerial on the right side scuttle.

Philippe, indeed on a LHD car it would be on the passenger side. This is the case on my S1, and I had scoured hundreds of pics to decide whether to fill-in the hole or keep. On the LHD the relay remains in the same position/location as in above pics: on the right side under the header tank.

Danny, at first bridge the 2 wires on the hydraulic switch. If you get battery voltage and the new stop light goes on, then you have only a defective switch. Rory, no rubber buffers seen on mine upon assembly. If i may, couple of hints : check that the wipac set you have is well for lhd and not rhd car, otherwise you will have an issue adjusting for controle technique. Turn the lights on, the incandescent bulbs will generate enough heat to demist, usually its good for some weeks before any mist is back.
