Bellhousing bolts

Hi lads.
When bolting the bellhousing to the gearbox would you torque the bolts and then when bolting it to the engine does it get torqued.

Re: Tightening the upper timing chain

Yes it would be very easy to drop one of the bits in to the engine. Thanks

Re: Tightening the upper timing chain

So I took it apart and the plunger still stuck solid. Discovered it would move in a circle so I got a grips on it and moved it from left to right and worked it out after about 30min of struggling with it.

Tightening the upper timing chain

Hi Lads. I have a bad rattle from the upper timing chain and went to tighten it and the locking plunger on the adjustment that tightens the chain was stuck. It tapped in easy but I cant get it out now. Any idea on how to get it out now.

I to just got the SNG hold down kit and I have emailed barratts asking what size tap to use. They say not to use a tap and just a 3.9 drill bit. But I have not fitted them yet,

What way is the propshaft meant to fitted, the peace that moves to adjust the length of the prop goes to the front of the car or back.
