Re: Tracking , camber and caster settings

Are the setting for 62 E type DHC with 205 tyres the same as for a 185 tyre. If so what are they. Can I expect a decent tyre garage to be able to do it with all their wonderful high tech kit. Tony Hi Tony, my car that was down at Angus's open day is running 205 tyres and like yours, Electric Power ...

Is this what you are looking for? As suggested by Christopher above. Search through Woolies site, there might be something else.

Re: SII - Radiator Support Bracket C28743

Hi John, I'm assuming you mean the flat bars that go either side of the radiator and attaches to the right angle brackets that are bolted to the picture frame. They should have a rubber grommet/bush in them as in the pic below. I've circled the lower radiator mounts as well just incase you meant the...

Re: New purchase XK150

Hi Steve,

I've only just seen this. The car looks very nice indeed, congratulations. I've always fancied the idea of an early XK.
I look forward to more pics of the car.

Simon, I thought we had sent you a replacement set a month or more ago. We certainly changed our supplier of these to ensure future supply was improved. I will chase up tomorrow and advise... Re: SNG Barratt User Group

Hi Julian, I know you have been rather busy lately but I wonder if you or a member of your team could have a glance at this and possibly update me? I haven't heard anything for almost a month now other that a couple of "automated reply" emails. I did try to speak to one of your sales staff but they ...

Re: Hood tie down straps BD20660 A Comedy of Errors!

Hi Julian, I know you have been busy but other than a couple of "automated reply" emails I've not heard back from you or your team in almost a month now. I notice Toolstation have these on offer with 10% off at the moment. As per my previous question is it worth purchasing a pair rather than the var...

Re: Front wheel camber

A few questions. Have you set the correct ride height? Is this negative or positive camber you mention above? Towards the end, you say you have not set the “camber” yet. Do you mean castor? Have you set the tracking? The reason I ask is that all the above will affect the camber. You can’t set the ca...

Re: When is an import not an import?

And Jaguar decided to punish anyone who wanted a LHD E-Type by fitting the worst possible accelerator linkage. You haven't really driven an E-Type until you have been out on the road in a RHD car  Not to mention having to lean across to the passenger side to operate the choke. Anyway non of th...

Re: brake bleeding

Thanks Andrew, you learn something new every day, I know which ones you mean now. Without a spring, presumably you are just relying on gravity for it to act as a non return valve?

Re: OTS Interior Light Wiring Missing

Hi Mark,

I'm assuming you mean the light on the rear bulkhead. From memory the wiring is in the boot/trunk and comes off the loom from the left hand side where the hinge mounts.

Re: brake bleeding

Andrew, the ones I've seen have a small spring pushing the "ball bearing" against the outlet hole so that it acts as a non return valve. My Fosseway brakes came with them but I'm m not convinced how effective they are. I bled mine using a combination of vacuum bleeder and traditional foot method. No...

Just to keep keen followers off this comedy of errors up to date. When I thought things could not get any more comical, SNG Barratt stepped up their game. Geoff that is very kind of you. Rather than you risk damaging the screw Angus is going to have a look to see if he has one. From the pics and other feedback I've had it is clear the SNG Barratt ones are completely wrong. In fairness they do at least have a lift the dot fastener. In conclusion I've b...

Hi Julian,

You were looking into the fitment issues on the S2 and S3 headlamp chromes last year and said you would post some pics up of them on your S3. I just wondered how you had gone on?
