AJ6 exhaust TT torque extractor

V12 2+2 I fitted one of these, largely because I considered the original too quiet. My observations would be as follows First: According to CMC in Shropshire, it actually reduces performance. They have modified mine and the results speak for themselves... much livelier now. Secondly: because of the ...

Try talking to the guys at CMC. they have done quite a bit of work on figuring out the correct needles for SU carbs on the V12 engine. they can probably give you the dyno-run comparators for the original Strombergs Vs the commonplace SU conversions

Tuning/carbs

I have a burlen fuel systems SU carb conversion on my V12. I need to find someone with a rolling road and a selection of needles to get it running right. There are plenty of rolling roads it seems but very few who have the needles. Any suggestions?

I had very much the same issue. My fans were worn out, basically ~ I tried new original-style fans but in the end I asked Harry to instal modern fans activated by a temperature probe which sits in the radiator. Good system, keeps things cool, probably the destination of choice for those not wedded t...

Hi there,

I have relatives in Aldeburgh and my E Type is an infrequent but regular visitor. I'll try and give some notice next time I'm going up there and maybe we can try and hook up

Harry at e-Type UK dealt with my rear main oil seal last year. Went the lip-seal route. Seems to have worked well but the engine builder did have to machine the crank as described above, so the process is irreversible in effect. The decision was made on the advice of the engine builder as he typical...

Hi, has anybody used the Shuttle to get over the France with their E? I have a series III which can grate over a sharp speed-bump and it suddenly occurred to me that I might struggle to get it onto the train with the exhaust intact...

Goldman Pirates...

NORFOLK, VIRGINIA Eleven indicted Somali pirates dropped a bombshell in a U.S. court today, revealing that their entire piracy operation is a subsidiary of banking giant Goldman Sachs. There was an audible gasp in the courtroom when the leader of the pirates announced, "We work for Lloyd Blankfein. ...

Improving my S3

Hi there,

I have the AJ6 TT Torque extractor system fitted to my S3 coupe. I can vouch for the improvement in mid-range torque but the main reason for fitting it is the noise.... fabulous.

I do intend to record a little video and post it at some stage - this will allow you to judge for yourself.

Who would like to share his experience of the AJ6 exhaust TT

I would record it but I dont think my cellphone would do it justice, I'm afraid. I would have no qualms fitting it to an OTS.... in fact I generally drive with the windows and sunroof open in my 2+2 so I can get the benefit. The note is crisper, less inhibited. There is a fantastic burble at idle wh...

I have a rather nice story if you happen to be sitting comfortably.... As you may have gathered I have a '73 2+2 and am based in London.
