They use Aldridge for proper interior work and others for repairs etc.
(The guy you see is Cliff as the owner of Aldridge is too shy to show himself on TV)

I highly recommend Aldridge trimming, they have made two lots of seats for us, the orginal ones and some MX5 ones and they did a wonderful job both times. Here is a picture of them side by side.

Taking the head off isnt a huge job, you can also then check out ALL the studs and/or replace them, easily helicoil any damaged threads, decarbonise the engine and head, clean out all the waterways and generally improve performance.

Do it right, do it once.

No they are not silicone. Wellseal was developed by Rolls Royce, its quite liquidy and needs to be applied to all 4 surfaces and left 10-15 mins to go tacky but you dont need much. Seems to work really well.
