Re: Bonnet Removal

Excellent, made it look very easy - although at first I thought you were resting the nose on a piece of granite worktop!

Re: Fumes in the passenger compartment with a series 3 Roadster

Great video David - fascinating stuff! Obviously only a model, but I've made animated Gifs of the turbulence. Re: SU fuel injection?

Did anyone spy this new-fangled SU fuel injection setup from Burlen at Goodwood (see last sentence above)?

Any pics?

Re: Scissor Lifts

Good pics of E-type on a scissor lift Juicerider. Make and model of the lift please - I can only read 3000kg. Those wooden blocks look v close to the sill though, or is it just the angle? Also, is IRS removal possible using this lift? I would expect it to be very unbalanced and tip forward ? ...

Re: Only took me 3 years

Wow, fab colour Dean! It looks amazing - huge amounts of hard work there.

Seen lots of Series II's going from double Stromberg's to triple SU's. For your Series III tuning clearly easier, but probably difficult to tell how much extra horse power you are getting?

New/Old XKSS

I always thought the XKSS was the ugly duckling of the E-Type's evolution, but the recently unveiled new factory XKSS's have surprised me by looking rather awesome, want one.... http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/q572/xanderc1/1_zpsvea6iehx.png http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/q572/xanderc1/4_zp...

Lasers

So, this looks quite interesting for those in renovation mode - a thousand watt laser to burn of rust etc: http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/q572/xanderc1/Laser%20gif_zpsyftnttge.gif Not sure how it would work with paint though (fumes etc), but its quite impressive with that surface rust. "The Peoples Lightweight"

Ha - I saw this online earlier today: Ultra-rare Jaguar to become ?the people?s Lightweight E-type?. Modern V12 Injection

I didn't want to hijack the previous thread on period injection, but it did reminded me of a couple of more current v12 injection systems I saw at the recent London Classic Car Show. That's definitely not standard! A pipe usually exits the top of the expansion tank (just below the pressure cap) and vents out near the steering rack, like this (look top left to bottom right), but careful, mine's (ahem) a bit longer than usual.... http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/q572/xanderc1/I...

Hi Keith, I too have been experimenting with Gopro?s for a 2016 jaunt...with varied success. First problem I found was that the centre windscreen bar (OTS) totally gets in the way, but as you have an FHC all is good. The over-the-bonnet shot doesn?t look as good unless its roughly symmetrical, so to...

I recently had my series 3 ots windscreen replaced. The fitter tried to trial fit the (SNG) top u rubber and gave up, same as you, as it's too thick. Black sealant stuff was used instead.

First post! I've had my Series III OTS for 18 months now. It recently got a cracked windscreen so I called the insurance company - only had to pay ?75 windscreen excess. I assumed they would send round "the classic car guy", but the bloke who turned up from National Windscreens had never done an E-t...
