Re: Bonnet Identification

The underpan doesn't have the S3 scoop so it could be an S2 bonnet with S3 wings fitted or an S3 bonnet with S2 underpan fitted.

Bonnet Identification

Hi all, The S1 project car I bought a couple of years ago had the wrong bonnet on it and I have now sourced a new one but need to identify the old one so I can advertise correctly. I'm not sure if it's an S2 or S3 bonnet. It has S2 bumpers, etc but the wings are flared as per S3. Please can anyone a...

I concur with your thoughts. He's now produced a copyright version of colour/year data which looks familiar to me (can't think from where though). Link here...

Re: Horn Push Rod No Negative At Column Output.

Hi Glenn, Are you testing without the horn button in place ? If so you shouldn't get anything from it as it needs the horn button in place. It shouldn't be insulated over entire length - just has insulators top & bottom. When the horn is pressed the rod makes contact with sprung loaded contact in st...

Re: Series 1.5 covered headlamps

Hi Al, Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase. Hard to tell if the closed in headlamps were original on your car but from a quick scan on xkedata many earlier S1.5 cars had the open headlights (mine included). Furthermore the sugar scoops look to have been finished in body colour ...

Hutsons made some for me as they weren't on my replacement (Heritage) bonnet.

I've hired transporters from these guys to get my imports back from Southampton. Might be a bit overkill for a Carver though. http://www.transporterhire.co.uk/

Re: Garage Flooring

I have a single seam running down the centre of garage. I've not had any problems with creep but I only usually drive straight in & straight out although I do turn the wheels to work on car which hasn't caused any issues. The only issue I have found with it is if petrol drips on it and gets left for...

Re: Garage Flooring

I used levelling compound (Wickes fibrous one) on my rough concrete floor then laid sheets of vinyl flooring from costco straight on it ... http://www.costco.co.uk/view/p/g-floor-75-x-17ft-23-x-52m-floor-protector-112281 It stays put without any glue & has been remarkably hard wearing. It was only £...

Hi Peter,

Probably worth speaking to them as not every part is listed on the website. Failing that give Richard Smith a try.
