In case of new springs, both front and rear, I can recoment to use the parts from CJ.

Maybe to produce a progressive spring rate ? havent heard of a progressive torsion bar Exactly. And that was the reason for the ban. In the beginning of historical race a lot of E-type used Koni with coile over. Further point is that you can save some kg. What should there a problem be with the pic...

Series1 2+2 option was a BW8 auto gearbox. On my 68 Series 1.5 I run for a year a BW66 without any problem and go back to original BW8 (matching numbers).
