Hi,
My understanding, is that early sills ( perhaps Series One) had closing panels spot welded to the sills, but Jaguar changed this later on to glued on, perhaps so that they didn’t have the extra expense of lead loading over the spot welds. (not sure of the date, perhaps for the Series Two).

Thank you all for you advice, Steve, what did you use for the ball joint that attaches the cable to the ball on the accelerator pedal leaver? At first I thought it was one of the old control rods, but on closer inspection they are different. E600, does your accelerator leaver attach to both cables, ...

SNG throttle cable conversion
I was considering making my own throttle cable conversion as I cannot justify the expense of the SNG one, but just thought I would check the current cost of the real thing.
I noticed from the web site that it is marked “no longer available “

I think you will find that the bolt spacing are bigger on the Series 2 and therefore won’t fit.

I’ve been following this on JL Joey and finding it very interesting.
I must be getting weak in my old age as I am finding the steering quite heavy, even with 185 tyres.
I am thinking about making my own system though, possibly MGF or Corsa B or C.
I can’t justify the expense of the EZ system.

I glued the foam to the roof first, my theory being that it would be very difficult to make sure the headlining was wrinkle free if it was glued to the foam first.
