Re: E type reaction plate

You dont need to have the torsion bars and plate in place for the car to be moved to paint.
Just swap the dampers out with some steel bars and it will hold the weight.

Just done it my self :)

Re: S2 vacuum tank.

So to conclude it can work without the tank and there is some scenarios where it can be useful like if the engine died and at the same time propshaft broke so that the wheels cannot turn engi...

Re: S2 vacuum tank.

Is this tank really useful unless you want to brake while applying throttle?
Need the space for an oil breeder tank so thinking about ditching it.

Re: Hello everyone!

If there is no visible rust I would recommend delivering to a detailer. From the pictures this is not that bad and can pretty good after a professional have had their time with it. Also if there is dents they can mostly be fixed without any traces of it afterwards. 1owner and original paint in good ...

Thanks for the advice, will contact him and see if he produces or have any plans to do so.
Dont know how much of a market it is for theese but mine is slightly bent and is full of pitting, maybe others would need one as well.

Re: Lucas 608 interior mirror

No, because the glass i tapered so its not just a matter of fitting av replacement mirror.
Thats why I suspect the replica mirror (not made by lucas) is differend as well.

Lucas 608 interior mirror

Hi I have a Lucas 608 mirror that is in pretty good shape other than the mirror glas. Since I have not been able to find anyone that can re-silver the glas I`m wondering if the replica mirror sold by various suppliers are usable as a spare part? From the pictures it looks the same, but I`m not sure....

Once the bolt is tight, the panel, nut and bolt will move at the same time and the plastic bush will rema...

Re: Head gasket

But what reason could be behind making the gasket restricting the waterflow? WHen using long stud block, maybe the best thing is to use the older gasket with the correct water channel opening and just drill the two holes missing? Having small round holes when the block and head have bigger openings ...

Using mk2 dash in E type

Hi Just purchased a mk2 dash for my e type. After looking twice I see that I need to modify the hinges. The mk2 is hinged from below and the e type has bolts from the side that works as hinges. Is it as simple as drilling holes on the side and using a nut or does one have to solder the nuts onto the...
