Rear lamp housing to body seal : poor reproduction part

RE rear TL gasket housing to body seal. I had a rubber kit from SNG (20 yrs ago) tried to put the gaskets on the RH one was about 1/8 in short. The LH was about 1/4 in short. That's bad enough but after getting the right one on, there was a gap between edge and body, I used dum dum on the RH. But th...

I agree. I replaced the PO's wooden one with an original style heavy one and it did improve the shifting.

Re: Clutch slave/clutch pin new. How to install

The new pin is for the spring return clutch slave. The lower pin in the photo is for the hydrostatic self adjusting slave. https://s11.postimg.org/fvg8urclf/clutch_slave.jpg The pin goes through the boss, spring attached then spring washer, plain washer and split pin. alternatively you can hook the...

Clutch slave/clutch pin new. How to install

https://s2.postimg.cc/6a006dn89/clutchpinold_Nnew.jpg I am trying to post a pic above of the new and old clutch pin. I don't see how I can put this pin in, retain with spring/washer/pin and have anyplace to hook the spring on? The vendor sent me this setup. The old pin also has no place for the spr...

Re: Under body refinishing advice

I'm considering protection for the bonnet areas over the front tires. Hot rodders with steel body cars use a rubber/foam padding material to protect against stone dings appearing in the outer surface of the fenders. Removable alternative to undercoating. Probably not a solution for the floor, howev...

Re: Under body refinishing advice

HI, Timely thread, this is. My car has been sprayed underside with Body Schotz (?sp). How ever I sprayed the pontoons and floor cross members internallly with Eastwood Chassis Protector. This being very thin I discovered some few "leaks" on the underside. Both sills where they curve under the floor ...

There is no quote for extra postage and no way to even tell if courier is available and if so how much? does anyone know? Track s...

Re: Goodwood in Sept

If you're coming all that way it wouldn't make much sense to go for just one day. You could easily (and happily) spend a day looking round the paddock and a day watching the races: trying to do both in day is quite hard work! The weather can go either way. Last year the weather on the Sunday was ab...

Re: Did we live in the golden days of motoring

Did we live in the Golden Days of motoring (50's and 60's) or do all generation feel that way? From my point of view I loved the fact that every make of car looked different and you could tell the different makes from a mile off. Be it Minis , Escorts, Jaguars, Hillman or whatever. Or was it becaus...
