Re: A RHD in Continental Europe
Hi Lual, i´ve been in Spain for 16 years now with a RHD E-Type and not had a problem. When overtaking i just hang back from the car in front so i can see the on-coming traffic and on the rare occasions i use the toll roads i just lean over or let the passenger pay or collect the ticket.

+1 for clear wax oil , cheaper than other rust inhibitor s, but just as good in my humble opinion.

Headliner.
Hi everybody, is it possible to fit your own headliner, mine is coming away at the edges, or is it best left to the experts . If it´s possible best place to get the material, grey also the best adhesive to use. Many thank´s.

I had a similar noise when turning, turned out to be a loose spinner, check there all tight.

Re: What's it worth ?
Sorry for the delay lads, thank's for your feedback, all taken on board, but although I was offered a good price for the car, I will not be selling it, because it's worth more to me than the money, if that makes sense?

What's it worth ?
Can anybody give me the value of a good condition series 2 2+2. Not thinking of selling, but a chap has made a mouth watering bid to me. Don't think I would ever sell it, but the offer he made surprised me.
Clutch
Hi all, the biting point on my clutch is nearly at the top of the pedal movement. I've been told it is on E Types. Can it be adjusted? I've also heard that the clutch-life is around 20 000 miles! My clutch is not slipping but I've done well over 20 000 on mine. Do you think it's time for a new one?

Hi there, I know there's a drain tap on the 6 cylinder block as well as on the radiator, don't know about the 12 ? If the tap is seized, you may have pull off the radiator bottom-hose to empty the coolant. Usual applies to re-filling, heater set on hot, fill with coolant, run engine, press the main ...

I was thinking more of 3.31 for auto US cars by the way, how can you check the type of the diff ? is it engraved somewhere or do you need to install a monkey in the engine to count the number of number of turns of the shaft vs number of turns of wheels ? It should be on the face of the sp...

It all depend's if you have the budget to do these upgrade's. You get less BHP with the Stromberg's, I find that at normal speed's the steering is light even without PAS, I can't comment on the 5 speed box but there are one or two option's on this. Keep original or do the upgrade's, the choice is yo...

Temperature rise.
Cruising at normal speed's the temperature of the engine never rises above normal, but if I get stuck in traffic or have to crawl along the temperature quickly rises but doe's not boil over but stay's high with the fan's on. Is this the sign of a failing water-pump? I have an alloy rad with built-in...
