Re: Fosseway brake upgrade

Christopher, can you imagine the skill of those in the RAF (and elsewhere) who were required to learn how to do as neat a job in a part of an aircraft they can't actually see when they are doing the wire locking, all done by feel.

Re: How many made

In the knowledge section you'll see information for converting from LHD to RHD, I'm sure you'll be able to interpret it for the RHD-LHD process. Can't think of many people who will have done that.

Neal, does this help you at all: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10352

COH Baines are well respected for seals, though whether SNGB get theirs from Baines I don't know

Stuart, I don't think the legend strip is different on an S2 LHD vs RHD. Wasn't that just on the S1s?

Re: Vibration

Ash, you said no-one had been able to balance the one wheel, but were they using a modern wheel balancing machine without cones to attach wire wheels. http://www.fossewayperformance.co.uk/wire-wheel-balancing-kit/ It's a recurrent problem as wires don't get properly fitted to these machine and can g...

Re: Series 2 Import

I'll echo what Steve has said, adding you should look for an experienced E Type owner and/or restorer to have a look at the car for you. Not just someone who claims to know old cars, but truly knowledgable about Es. Have you looked at any others to compare what you would be getting for your money? G...

Re: Vibration

Ash, did you swap for the spare and if so how did you get on?
Sorry we didn't get to properly meet on Saturday, but at least we did manage to briefly say hello. Hope you had a good drive home, maybe you're still en route.

Cheers

JD might be regarded as a premier restorer and dealer by some but this shows them in a totally different light

Philip, where do you class cylinder 1 as being? Front or back of engine?
No 6 is at the front. Just might help us understand where you think this un-fuelled air is reaching.

Hi Alan, the microswitch is at the bottom of the handbrake handle. I seem to recall that it is easy to adjust but you do need to remove the tunnel cover. Sorry

Thank you, David. Being more pedestrian in my driving style than you or Jenks methinks staying with 32 all round might suit. However, you've given me something to think about.
