Hi Geoff.
I have done it a number of times & its no problem to take the motor apart to rewire it.
Its best to use/buy just the wire in the colours required rather than buying a loom .

Mostly AF sizes there are a few BSF/BSW spanners needed on the carburettors .
5/16 to about 1" AF covers most things with 7/16 to 3/4 being the most used.
A good socket set is needed to.

I use O-ring cored you can buy it in lots of dia. then bond it at the ends with a type of super glue.
I buy mine from Simply Bearings & they do free delivery on any orders.

Could any one help with the following I am getting my 1966 OTS ready for the trimmers &I am having a problem with the hood seal which goes between the wooden hood spar & the windscreen chrome top rail. I have a good fit with the wood spar after a lot of fitting ( new ) & the metal pan they both fit ...

Hutson or SNG Barrett ,I think the front timber is made by SNG & its all one piece.

I always use a vertical/ turret milling machine to drill the holes in the shaft, also you need a taper pin reamer as the pins are tapered . I can clamp the shaft in a vice & plot the hole in the centre of it , it does help having a machine shop. It is worth going to find your local machine shop & ge...

I used the same ones that mount the rad fan motor C18111 is the part number worked fine.

Hi Simon. Its best to fit the glass to the bezels first & then twist them on to the instrument case. With the small instruments you can get the glass in the bezel with the tags turned over first. With the speedo etc you will have to place the glass in the bezel & then bend down the tags, then twist ...

Could you tell me the colour of the wire going to the upper brush holder in the picture.
Also for a RHD car should the crank on the motor rotate anti clockwise.

No I just ordered it, thanks to Angus taking his original screen there & Pilkingtons modifying their mould tool all is now well.
Buy the way I have a S1 FHC just check that the screens are the same.
