S 1 rubber gasket for chrome wiper bezel
Hello,
I only need the 3 rubber gaskets in close-to-original quality. Does anyone know a source? Are these rubbers possibly identical to those of other vehicles from the 1960s?
Many thanks for your advice.

Re: 3.8 inlet manifold gaskets leaking
Hallo Christopher,
Retightening the nuts unfortunately did not help.
Tim. What type of sealing material did you use when installing the fibre gasket?

Hello, I replaced the 3 inlet manifold gaskets and used the items with article number C 14127/1 from SNGB. All metal contact surfaces were clean and not damaged. Before fiting the gaskets, I coated both sides with black silicone sealant that is approved for the engine/coolant area. After I adjusted ...

Galvanic coating of the Dunlop "C" cylinders
Hello,
Were the cast iron Dunlop brake cylinders originally zinc or cadmium plated? During the forthcoming overhaul, I would like to restore them to their original appearance.
Thank you for your hints.

Overhauling Dunlop cylinders
Hello, I would like to bring the original Dunlop master and wheel brake cylinders and the Lockheed clutch slave cylinder from my early '61 FHC to Past Parts in Bury St Edmunds for resleeving. A few years ago, Past Parts overhauled the cylinders on my Triumph TR. I am very satisfied with this work an...

Re: 1961 brake cylinders disassembling
Hello Randall
Thanks. It worked. The internal sealing ring prevented removing the piston. Everything was freely movable on the adjustment rod area itself.

1961 brake cylinders disassembling
Hello, I removed the original brake piston housings from the brake calipers. All four pistons can be moved freely in the brake cylinders and can also be pulled approx. 5mm out of the cylinders. There is no visible rust. However, the pistons cannot be completely removed. I have the impression that so...

Early Dunlop master cylinders
Hello,
I would like to rebuild the three Dunlop Master cylinders. They are the very early ones with the small, narrow Dunlop lettering. The outer surface seems to be painted with black lacquer. Were the exterior surfaces originally painted or surface treated ?
Thank you for your help.
