Thank you everyone for your replys help and advice. First thing im going to check is the vent pipes as im sure they are pinched up on the ends for some reason!!?? See how we go from there. Petrol leak from air fliters on all three carbs

Hi everyone. Me and my dad are having a little problem with the old etype again.... We have a petrol leak form all three carbs it leaks out from the air filters when the cars been at a while and also what seams to be a mix of oil aswell. Any ideas? Or is a carb rebuild needed? Following up your misfire you had on yours a while ago, did you ever get that sorted?
If you remember it was back in 2015 when i was gunna use mine for my wedding but i had a slight vibration/misfire!

What would this cost me of i were to send my tripple SU's and let you rebuild them?
They are on my car and they are running at the moment but i think theyre getting to the point of needing a refurb now i recon.

hi again everyone! quick update on the e-type vibration / misfire, I stripped the exhausts off on Friday to have a look at the propshaft to find that the U.J on rear (to the diff) had play in it, misfire however only starts when you get her upto approx 40mph, anyways I braved it on Saturday to use h...

all I want to do is travel to the church in it approx 5 or 6 miles, then from the church back home again approx 5 or 6 miles,

thank you very much lads for your replys, the brakes on our e type are working fine at the moment so I think ill leave them be for the time being, as my dad says if it aint broke don't fix it! lol well if any of you lads would like the set up for any of your e types as an upgrade I have it listed on...

thank you for your reply,
yes I put 12v onto the solenoid to test it and it threw out everytime without fail and my ring gear is fine in very good condition,
this is what's confuseing me, everything (in theory) seams to be fine?!
