Hello Osgii, congratulations to you and your wife ! I am sure they will understand as they will grow with it. Start purchasing E-Type toys /models and then share moments with/in the E as soon as you can. I did not start as early with my boys (they were 8 and 12,5) but they helped in some restoration...

Hello Simon, it would be interesting indeed if you could compare your "old" speakers with mine. I agree with your comments on the radio-tape player, I did not mean period/original as early 70's , but more vintage model. And yes the design and LCD is more probably around 80's. Mmmh, I now need to set...

hello, my October 1972 SIII was fitted (an still is ) with the following radio-tape player, which I believe is a period one, most probably fitted by the dealer. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-P7rzsK56rCs/UGswBiYVTjI/AAAAAAAADdE/q_9B5QDtZ5k/s640/DSC03219.JPG the speakers are hidden behind a grill...

Remember the first time...?

It was a nice car and very exciting first impressions drive. There were some concerns with the start of the car, some big ...

And apparently he received extra support from Jaguar this year

www.classicdriver.com/fr/magazine/3300.asp?id=15636
Jaguar Cars Limited has recognised Mr Claus? plight, and have therefore provided him with a pre-production estate version of its popular XF.

Same over here now  We have snow and salt on the roads since Friday evening. I had my last drive last WE on Sunday : cold outside but dry roads, took the E out for a stretch but after 15 minutes came onto a road where the local authority did spray the road with a lot of salt, so drove back home...

A pity. Hopefully you got/will get rain to wash the salt and be able to driev the E again before next year. No salt and no snow yet over here (South of Belgium) . November was very dry and in fact we had rain yesterday (more in one day than over the month ...). Just took the E for an hour drive as t...

So what better than taking us back to the dimly-remembered French lessons of our youth, when the E-type was in production and it was a Stones/Beatles shoot-out in the pop charts every few weeks? on our side it was learning English and also listening to the Beatles, the Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin...
