Re: Angus’s upper wishbone inserts

Hi Andrew I’m pretty sure SNG B sell you a new wishbone with insert all built up, although I’m not sure if the cup is metal or a nylon replacement. Angus takes YOUR original wishbone, machines out the old metal cup, replaces it with a hard nylon insert and puts a new ball in. It is sent back with a ...

Re: creak in the steering column

Hi Yves Could be the felt bushes that you point to, however they don't usually squeak! More commonly the compress and leave the column feeling a little wobbly (great english word). If the bushes have been replaced by the slimmer plastic ones then these can squeak when cold ...try a little squirt of ...

Re: Angus’s upper wishbone inserts

Thanks David

Hi Steve...sorry
Angus Moss (Mossjaguar.com) will take out your worn upper wishbone ball joint cups, ream them slightly and fit “fit and forget” cups and new ball joint.
Great and personal service..he’s happy to talk on the phone.

Re: Brake control assembly - washer question

Hi Just checked 1. I believe the two washers are for the lower link (see my photo below) 2. There is definitely NO washer between the upper linkage despite the nylon bush lip on the Lower link means it’s not quite flat Robbie https://i.postimg.cc/Y2d6Xxj5/1-E68-BB92-D38-F-418-D-ABBF-E679024-F2909.jp...

Thanks David
It came fitted to the car and so I’ll get it reconditioned locally and use it...I was thinking about a dynamator or such like but it’s a lovely original early car so I’m going to stay with the dynamo(maybe change to neg earth)

Dynamo

Dear all My March ‘62 has a replacement dynamo part number 22910 with a date of 11-68 (I can’t see if it’s a C42 or not) I understand that it should have a number 22902 /C42 My questions 1. Do I get the one I have restored and, if so, would it work ok for my car? 2. Should I try to find a 22902 of a...

Re: Purchasing an E - advice?

Hi Bruce Knowledge is power ...research a lot so you know what to ask about Bodywork is the key..it’s the most expensive bit by far. If you get that bit right then the rest is manageable in a stepwise fashion. If you find a car that looks good then check out which body shop worked on it and ask abou...
