Re: Jaguar Heritage Certificate
I found the body number along with the interior colour and car colour written on the back of the dashboard just next to speedometer It was also written in the back of the dashboard panel on the glovebox side. Jag heritage told me it was a better indicator of the cars heritage (along with engine and ...

Re: Rear hub removal
I agree the splined hub can be tight but once you’ve screwed in the pusher and released the grip the hub should slide off

Oh hell…good luck
Which side by the way?
My RHS (drivers) winder was very worn and I managed to purchase a second hand one from the states! …being from passenger window of a LHD car it was less well used

Re: Exhaust system
I fitted a SS slightly larger bore exhaust to my 3.8 coupe and it’s quite loud
I have just finished my 3.8 OTS and it has a Jaguar classic mild steel (with chromed rear resonators). …it sounds perfect. Deep but smooth and not too loud
Would definitely recommend

Re: Roadster Hood lock down clamps

Only the "internal" ones need to be countersunk and just the correct length before "peening"... friend machined them for me The maine fulcrum ones are left with a pinhead one side and peened the other Not a difficult job. for the flush peening i drilled a v...

Re: Roadster Hood lock down clamps
Hi Andrew I have done this I bought some (v cheap) Pan head solid rivets made of aluminium of the correct diameter. I machined some for the rivets needing to be countersunk( you could just get countersunk for these) I simply peened the ends over to locate them and stop them slipping out Robbie See a...
