Thanks all!
Will take a punt and see - no original to compare to but they offer a return service if it's not right
Fingers crossed!

Re: Radiator query
Thanks, Mike. I have scoured the technical guides and parts handbook but not clear as to whether it is a multipurpose rad or whether the header tank is one entity. Worth a look at their clearance section as there are some other bargains on Fosseway brakes and even a rear crank seal conversion at sig...

Just on the hunt for an economical radiator replacement and it seems like this automatic version could be a bit of a bargain at £140? https://www.moss-europe.co.uk/radiator-aluminium-black-coated-automatic-nar-group-c24252-aab.html Guessing that the two silver connections could be blanked off? Other...

Hi Phil,
If you work on 4.1m, you should just get the garage door closed!
Good luck

Re: E type full build S1 4.2 Coupe
If you are thinking about electronic tacho running from the ignition, this company seem to make a nice circuit board that converts the original gauge: https://www.spiyda.com/tachometer-electronics.html No connection, but have been pondering this, as I am using a later cylinder head without the tacho...

Re: Great deal on Series 1
Have one in a similar state, given to us when the children were smaller...they are now at University, so I guess we can keep it for any possible grandchildren! Tempted to have it painted at the same time as the 2+2... Luckily there are now some spare parts available: https://www.parts4pedalcars.co.u...

There's a nice range, including the larger one for the boot boards and the matching studs:

Re: Yet another colour question!
Thanks, both! Helps narrow down the detective trail - it was the grey tinge that was particularly attractive, but I guess sunlight makes everything different! Did also realise that Turrino wheels are UK based - they might help... Now back to the interior negotiations...I want oxblood...my 'passenger...

Yet another colour question!
Morning all, Having trawled here and xkedata, I cannot find the name of this colour: http://www.turrinowirewheels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Jaguar-E-Type-S1-6-x-15-anodised-alloy-rims-polished-ss-spokes-centres-smaller-1.jpg I am guessing that it might be a modern paint colour, unless someone c...

Re: Aluminium bonnet, has anyone fitted one of these
I did an English wheeling course with Geoff Moss at MPH Motor Panels (thoroughly recommended if you are into curved aluminium!). He is a proper old-fashioned craftsman, trained at Aston Martin. I seem to remember that the trailing edge was left oversize for you to trim to fit (tricky if you have shi...

Re: Introduction & a tale of woe!
Hi Steve, A mixture of rose tinted specs and being in love, I suspect! The car we bought has been largely restored, the parts were all boxed up and came with lots of promises...There are many positives to the story; I do have a fantastic shell, professionally restored, lead loaded and then dipped an...

No signs of any numbers on any of the interior parts I have - door panels, rear trim and back seats.

Nice to be here, Stuart! I have been lurking for some time and it does seem to be a positive place!
Happy to be guided as to any other ways of narrowing down what I have...all help very gratefully received!

Introduction
Evening all, I had hoped to introduce myself under different circumstances, but having spent nearly a year trying to get the balance of the parts and the V5 or missing chassis/body plates for my 1967 Series 1 2+2, I have drawn a blank at every turn...police not interested (civil matter, apparently),...
