I used this eBay external RVI to RVC convertor. You by pass all the ineternals and wire it up straight to the tacho needle.

How is your Tacho wired in?

Yeah I’ve got one. You can program the exact curve you want including the vacuumed advance. You can also adjust the timing on the run. A great feature to help get it rite. You have an app that gives you a dashboard with rpm, ignition timings, vacuumed, engine temp, volts, coil current and gps speed....
