Re: External door handles?

On my S1 2+2 the handles did not have key holes.
Separate locks were fitted approx 2 inch below the handles.

Re: S1 4.2 gearbox bellhousing bung

Looking at the photo the bolt fixing the stabiliser seems to be a wire lock version which I don’t believe is correct.
Also what is that pipe running through the stabiliser fixing bracket?

Re: Odd unknown steering rack for RHD E Type

Hello Maikel, When I was seeking a RHD rack for my conversion I purchased one online that looked very similar to yours. The most noticeable differences between a usual rack were the rack teeth being bevel like yours and the rack bar itself being significantly narrower than normal. I was convinced at...

Re: Selling items to someone in the EU

I’ve just sent some parts to a forum member. The process was simple using a major carrier. Delivery took a little longer than expected but what was a shock was the duty charges of about 30% of the contents value.... !

I used Kiley Clinton in Birmingham to rebuild mine a few years ago. Excellent job and not as expensive as your quote.

Re: Upper Steering Column Bearings

So, I’ve disassembled the column and cleaned up the casing and bearings. Thankfully the plastic cages were in ok condition. So a re grease and reassemble with a new wavey washer and all seems fine. No need for any new bushes so it seems. The column joint was however showing signs of wear so I shall ...

Re: Upper Steering Column Bearings

Hi all, I’m going to start rebuilding my steering column and have been reading up on the causes and cures for the slight up and down play in the top bearing. Haven’t got it apart yet but if the bearing needs replacing has anyone used the solid bearing kit available from SNG. The listing notes that m...

Front brakes and clutch on the right hand side adjacent to the throttle linkage.
Rear brakes on the left above the servo mounted on a bracket attached to the large blanking plate for left hand drive pedals.
