Re: Fixing an Otter switch?

Fosseway also offers a replacement for the otter-switch.
Not original style, but why shouldn`t we use better parts today?
I mounted this in my series 3 and it works fine.

Re: Wing Mirrors style and fitting

I agree with Simon. I had also bullet style mirrors on my series 3, but never could see nothing clear with them. The only use i gave them was to lift the bonnet. I put the same mirror as Simon. You have to take care in buying the correct one, because the Triumph mirror will not bend enough to see th...

Re: Air conditioning experiences

Hello from Seville, if You are not totally concerned about orignality, have alook at www.retroair in the states. They offer aftermarket systems at a reasonable price. Otherwise You will have to pay Sng`s price. Another option could be a modern compresor from FourSeasons, they still make the type of ...

Re: Compression horespower and engine numbers

Thank You for the extensive explication.
I was following Your route with MS2, but the development of the MS3 will help me a lot.

Re: Compression horespower and engine numbers

Hi Philip, thank You for the info. When You build the high compresion engine, did You use the HE-heads or the flat heads of the pre-HE engines? And why did You change from Edis with MS2 to the original Ignition system. BTW: do You still sell the DESC-board, that You developed for the Edis system? :y...

Re: Mirror position

I had a similar problem, when i wanted to mount an aditional mirror on the right door. My solution was, to stick the mirror with doublesided tape(the same, You use to fix carpets to the floor), sitting in the drivers seat, until i found the best position for ME to view backwards. Maybe it´s not the ...

Changing Rearlight from US-Spec to Euro-Spec

Hello All, after importing my S3 from the USA, i had to change the lighting system to european specifications. Looking at all places i found a solution, MarekH offered. Instead of changing the complete rearlights, he makes a pair of new lenses, where the turning lights are orange complying with the ...

Re: Ignition mark on Crankshaft Pulley and some more ?!

Hallo Sebastian , if You are looking from the right side of the car beneath the wheel, what is disturbing the view to the timing marker ,is not the alternator, but the airpump of the air-injectionsystem. The Butec-alternator is mounted between engine and radiator under the aircon compresor. It is a ...

Re: Quick Release Steering Wheel

Hi Steve in the first letter You said, You want to make the conversion Yourself. In my SeriesII FHC i've made this conversion two weeks ago. I ordered from funkypower.co.uk an NRG adapter, the thin one. It took small amount of fiddling to adapt it to the different style horn push, but it works fine....

Re: Unrestored Barn Find Series 3 - Driven as is

Hi from Seville, Congratulations, :bouncyyellow: first to have had the great luck to find such an unique piece and second for the idea, to let her show the wear of 43 years of life and driving and not to convert her in a concourse Barbie. :salute: I found my beauty 2013 in the USA and worked only in...

Re: Is this Jag the real deal?

hello from Seville if i understood it right, the first two years ( 1971 and 1972) the Series III with V12 engine received this Quattro-exhaust tip. 1973 and 1974, the two last years had a dúplex exhaust tip. The engine looks clean and o.k. But as David told You, read first the book of Peter Crespin,...

Re: Cooling system

Hello from Seville, due to light problems with the temperature in this hot clima and having read the article, i looked in my SIII, whay happened to the thermostats. To my surprise there was nothing in the places. Fortunately i had ordered some weeks ago a pair of high-flow thermostats from Rockauto ...
