Re: Winter layup advise

As the fuel will evaporate during lay-ups, don't forget to let the carbs fill with petrol BEFORE cranking the engine. Another tip is to over-inflate the tyres to help prevent flat-spots if left for a long period.

please share your tips below
Take as many digital pictures as you can before item removal and strip down, these will become invaluable
as time passes and your memory fades!
Never throw away the old part until it has been "compared" to the replacement item. :fingerscrossed:

Re: Built by Many

Should a 1968 have closed headlamps? It has the S1 side/lights etc, yet Looks like a S1.5 with rocker switches, and S2 ribbed cam covers car not listed on XKE data. They have set themselves a challenge selecting this model, will be interesting to see how "correct" they intend to make it. Always good...

Re: Insurance

After reading some have used Admiral, I decided to have a look but noticed this on their website... "An agreed valuation of your car up to £25,000 fixed for two years." not much good for an E type then  https://www.admiral.com/classic-car-insurance# I want an agreed valued policy, but I don't ...

Re: Another one bites the dust
