Hi Kenny, I’m not too far away from you and I own a S3 2+2. I occasionally take it to the Corner House and The Scotch. Let me me know when your going and I’ll meet you there and we can talk E Types.

Re: Oil pressure gauge
Thanks for the responses. I’ve had look at the wiring and nothing is obvious. The new oil pressure sensor was installed when the engine was out of the car and now I’m trying to figure out how to get a hand to it to check the terminals. Which is the easiest route to it? Do I take off the exhaust syst...

Oil pressure gauge
Hello When I turn the ignition on, my oil pressure gauge goes to about 90%. When the car is started it goes to maximum. A new pressure sensor was fitted in 2017. I’m sure this isn’t how it should read, any ideas what is wrong? https://i.postimg.cc/9fs3bx9W/A52_DC96_C-_BFF6-4_F00-8_EE0-8_FBCB6_CD8_AC...

Re: New arrival on forum
Hi Nigel Welcome to the forum and I see that you aren't very far away from me. I also have S3 which was owned by a Southport family for 21 years. There are couple of good car meets in the area. I've done a couple e type club events but never seen anything in SW Lancs so would be interested in trying...

New clutch
Hi,
I'm contemplating getting a new clutch fitted due to a very heavy clutch pedal and high point of engagement. Is this an engine out job or can it be left in and what would the approximate cost be if it was done at a garage?
Thanks
Simon

Hi
Thanks for the info. Ive got all the other switches and lights working on the car so I looks like I've left the trickyist one to last.

Reverse lamp switch
Hi
I have a manual S3 2+2 and am trying to get the reversing lamps to work. I'm wondering where the switch is and what is the best way to get at it? Also is the correct reverse lamp bulb 21w?
Thanks
Simon

Sheared otter switch bolt
Hi While replacing the otter switch I've sheared one of the bolts off in the threads of the housing. I've ordered a new housing but can't source any new bolts. Barrett's and Manners' both say they are unavailable. Does anyone know what size/thread they are or know where I could get hold of 3 new one...

Tyre pressures
I've recently replaced the Dunlop SP tyres on my S3 2+2 with Michelin 205/70/15 tyres. Should the tyre pressures remain as recommended in the original handbook. Out of interest I put the car on a weighbridge and the front axle was 770kg and the rear 730kg ( full tank of fuel, no driver, passenger or ...

Thanks for the advice. Me and my youngest son spent the afternoon altering the exhaust and have increased the ground clearance from 3 to 6 inch. In fact the lowest point now is the front clamp at start of the exhaust.
Should now be able to get out of my yard now without scrapping something.

Hi everyone, I've finally done it (to much amazement from the wife and children)and joined the E Type Club and bought a '72 S3 2+2, RHD Manual. The car has been little used in the last 34 years but is low mileage and has been dry stored, so I'm hoping it's a good one. I'm glad I've found this forum a...
