I didn't enjoy my dealings with Aldridge.
Parts didn't fit. They were quite dismissive.
Not a problem for me as I've sold my car now but I did resolve to never go back to them.
Just my 2p.

Help with DVLA?
Hi there My car is a UK car from new, with Heritage certificate showing its original UK registration number and I have lots of other history. Vin plate, frame and body stampings and rear tag all match the certificate. A French Yachtsman won the car in a sailing race in 1986 and took the car back to ...

Re: V12 Engine rebuild
Have you considered Birks Motorworks in Thame for your rebuild?
If my V12 needed a full rebuild, I wouldn't hesitate in asking them to complete the task.

Deep Joy!
Having read-up about these things on this (great) forum and because we can't use our cars for fun at the moment, I decided it was time to dismantle the back end and see if the body-number tag is still in place. It's there! A tiny detail, and hardly matters in the current situation, but I'm happy for...

Surely it's cheating if you start the process with a spotless car?!
I would have lent them mine for nothing!!

Re ride height, and my apologies if this is too obvious - I'm not an engineer or even remotely qualified to comment! It's worth doing everything to get the low-hanging stuff up a bit... I didn't want to raise the ride height on my car, I like its stance, so a fair amount of time went into making sur...

Re: Cost of complete replacement of interior upholstery?
Sorry, slight hi-jack... First of all - Gor.an, if the black leather interior covers, door cards etc, you take out is/are serviceable, I would like to buy them for my back-up stock please. Also, looking at the picture above of the load area, the backrest is folded flat. Mine can't do that, it just s...

Re: Can we go for a drive??
This is such a big question! My car is booked-in for an MoT, and I want to drive it, but feel that taking the E-Type for a spin is way too frivolous for current times. There are many people truly struggling right now. The MoT extension is in words only - it requires self-certification of the car bei...

Rear window hinge locked out
Hi There Can someone please help me to understand what has happened to my rear-side window hinge? It is in the open position and refuses to collapse into the closed position. It looks like there is some kind of lock-out catch but I can't see how to reset it. All help gratefully received! Best wishes...
