Thank you Steve,will do.

Kind regards

Neil.

How many left/value

Hi All.
I tried checking this out online but with mediocre success.
I am trying to find out how many 1966 series 1 2+2,right hand drive manuals are left, with matching numbers and ,what value would you put on one when selling,in fair/good condition.
Many thanks for any responses.

Best regards

Neil.

Re: New battery recommendation

Hi all !!
Brilliant response,thank you so much.
Spoilt for choice !!
The Optima looks a little like what's on there already but I'll give it some thought and shop around once I've decided !
Best regards as always !

Re: New battery recommendation

Hi Julian, and thank you ! Car is always on a conditioner and yes,at the moment sits for 2,3,4 weeks at a time idle. Previous owner fitted some kind of 'marine ' battery which,I feel,is now at the end of its life, and ugly !! Although I'm very much all for originality,I can overlook aesthetics in favo...

New battery recommendation

Hi all !! I think it's time for a new battery for my '66 series 1. I've never been one for budget solutions but neither am I an expert on all things batteries !! So... is there a stand out recommendation for a new battery or is it,within reason, much of a muchness ? As usual, your thoughts would be ve...

Air filter assembly.

Afternoon all !
Have just checked in with SNG to see if they have parts in for air filter assembly yet,and they are still waiting with an expected 3/4 week delivery ! 😱

Re: London Classic Car Show at Excel

Hey guys.
Decided to give it a miss this year but almost changed my mind at 7 o'clock this morning !!
Did anyone get some photos of the CMC XK ??
Would love to see them if you did and that in all honesty was why I nearly changed my mind this morning !
Beautiful car !

Re: another one back on the road......

Hi Norman, and we'll done you !! I have a S1 2+2 and I love it as I'm sure you do yours. It's what I could afford and that's that ! I did take it to an independent Jag garage in Kent last year and when I said to the proprietor that "there's a couple of things wrong with her" his instant reply was "It...

Re: Registering with DVLA

Evening all ! Re MOT. Some confusion! Taking my 66 E in for minor works and 'MOT' on 27/10. My mechanic didnt think I needed one now,I thought this is the case as of May 2018,but when I tried to 'retax' with DVLA (zero rated I know) automated system said I couldn't as no MOT for the car (oversight a...

Re: Frustrated by poor quality product

Evening all ! I touched on this on the S1 board and the air filter drum set up. Personally, and I'm not a rich man,I would rather pay a few more quid for the right part for the right job! I was told that everything is manufactured to a price, well that's fine, then perhaps up the retail price a bit to ...

Re: Air filter parts.

Hi Simon Thank you for the reply. Yes of course I kind of new the answer, but so disappointing. I would hope that the suppliers sometimes read these posts and would address these issues even if it did cost their customers a few extra pounds for the right product and quality too ! We live in hope ! Ne...

Air filter parts.

Evening all. I'm looking to replace the air filter drum/casement set up as mine is all wrong in terms of looking somewhere near original. Now I've looked at parts available from one of the usual guys who I've used all the time but are they any good as I had a conversation recently about header tanks...

Headlining

Morning all !! Although not etype related (but close (ish)), can somebody recommend a trimmers around the Brands Hatch area of Kent who can redo the headlining on my '97 XK8? Had a quote from elsewhere but they could only do it sectionally and not in one piece as per the the original. I'm hoping to ...

There's also SanSpeed in Bexleyheath. Had a quote from them for in house rolling road Tune (3hours) for Β£180 inc. Asked etype uk for a quote as well, they told me that they use SanSpeed as well ! Although don't know how often. Ask for Peter. Walks around the workshop like and old professor in his eng...
