Stromberg Carburetor rebuild V12 S3
Morning All
Well spring is on its way, and car is getting close to MOT.
However carbs are misbehaving with one spitting fuel out. So going for a fettle and rebuild.
Which is the best book to purchase to assist in the job for a novice. have seen a few
Suggestions please.
thx

Hi Marek I am missing the whole assembly. Box ( think this is fibreglass) , rubber and clips. Also checking with the normal spares vendors. To see what stock if any they hold.

Re: choke cable replacement advice needed
Morning All.
Dash removal panned for the weekend to replace both choke cable and heater cables.
Extra question? How easy is it just to remove the front part and leave the strip next to the screen, or does it all come out together, hoping not to disturb the air vent ducts etc..
thx in advance

XJS to e-type S3 v12 dipstick conversion
Evening All
Success today, XJS dipstick converted into S3 v12, thx to the info from Bob and Marek
Removed 8mm from the top of the dipstick sleeve, so all measurements on the protruding dipstick match a standard s3 v12 into the block. As per measurements supplied.
Job done. :-)

Evening All A little job I have over the break is to replace the choke cable on my S3 V12. Its the twin cable. Is there an easy way to remove old and attach the new without taking the dash apart. Did think would try and remove glove box, or drop fuse cover down. Any ideas or advice greatly received....

Hi All
Have decided to replace bearings as well, as the cost is not too great and using the books Santa has delivered looks an easier job then first thought.
