Re: How to secure sill to sill closing panel?
Hi Philippe, Would you mind letting us know how this progresses? I need to add new sills to my 67 at some point. Choices of panels- Martin Robey, Hudsons, MM? My interest/Q's... If non MM sills, what were they and how is the fit? How is the sill fit to the bulkhead closing panel- make? Any distortio...

Re: Brakes slow in releasing
Stripped out air valve. Reaction valve piston was a bit stiff. Moved back and forth by pressing the brake pedal to move it out and pushing in with a rod. Plate in front when I pressed brake pedal to stop it flying out. Added as much rubber grease as possible without completely removing the piston. I...

Re: Brakes slow in releasing
Thanks Chris and Stuart for the additional tips. I was very liberal with the red rubber grease when I replaced the seals in both cylinders and servo diaphram. I'll go on to check the reaction valve for sticking. On the plus side both cylinders had been previously re-lined, along with the front calip...

Brakes slow in releasing
Hi, Just picked up the 67 FHC from long term storage yesterday (rare break in the weather). Car going really well. However, when I braked and then released the pedal there was a 1-2 second delay in feeling the pads retracting. No veering so I presume not a single caliper sticking. Front brakes- new ...

Re: Front Brake Caliper Lockwire
Many thanks for the advice and found the lockwire thread too.
Suspension and front brakes rebuilt a few months ago and no issues so good to go with the wiring.
All the best
Eddie

Front Brake Caliper Lockwire
Hi,
Does anyone have an image or two of the original orientation and any advice on adding lockwire to the front caliper bolts.
Please re-direct me if this has been covered before.
Have the spinny tool thing and a coil of wire.
Thanks
Eddie

Re: Radius Arm Mounts and other concerns!
Hi Chris, Re- the chassis issues. Great idea to have it inspected to gauge the amount of body/chassis issues. Obviously better if you can keep costs down by doing as much yourself as possible. Even just stripping off the old underseal would keep chassis costs down and be easier to gauge the work req...

Re: Covered Headlight Conversion S1.25
Hi Simon, Looks great. Glad I could help. Rivnuts look like a great permanent solution. I ditched the front sissy bar and the car looks good enough to run for a couple of years. Its back in storage so I couldn't resist a quick detour in recommissioning a 69 Commando. You can get a real shift on comp...

Many thanks for the advice on where to check Layne. Also, I was not sure if I could pull the pan with the engine in.

Oil leaks from 4.2
Hi, The 67 is finally back on the road but I have a couple of persistent oil leaks. At the rear looks like a mains oil seal. At the front either the same or maybe the head/timing cover- I'll do more investigation. Question is how far I can go to fix the leaks without pulling the engine? Thx Eddie ht...

Beverley Hills Car Club.
I was happy with the 67 FHC I bought from them a few years ago. Was expecting a few hidden horrors but nothing found. Should have knocked them down more on the price though.

Re: Sugar scoop fit and finish.
If it helps...Maybe pull the scoops and adjust to get them as close as possible to the body as a 1st step. When I converted my S1.25 to scoops I had to adjust from scratch and just used extended bolts for the scoops where they attach to the headlight panel. Bottom one with a nut threaded on + washer...

Re: Covered Headlight Conversion S1.25
Looking great Keith. I'm amazed you can't get the correct headlight dishes. Did you manage to source the correct headlights with the shallow backs? I used the standard ones but its a bit of a bodge with bending the bulb pins at the back and losing the plug. Be great to add any progress images here o...
