4 speed all syncro gear box

Hi all, I am putting new bearings etc in my all syncro gear box. I dismantled the syncro assembly and didn't note where short and long springs fit in syncro hub. In my manual, it doesn't tell where short or long spring fits. Can someone help me identify where each spring goes in syncro hub. Thanks C...

Gear box oil

Hi I see someone mentioned using Redline MT 90 oil in all syncro box. Who makes this oil, I have my engine out and gear box stripped and all parts are in excellent condition. Good. Interested in oil.

pistons

Has anyone heard on Nural brand of pistons. Im after +.030 pistons 9 to 1 compression for 4.2 engine. Im told they are made in Poland. I googled it and it said they are spin off of AE pistons, originally used in XK engines.

manual gear box

Has anyone got suggestions on the best place to get a counter shaft for a manual all syncro gear box. My car is a 1969 2+2 4 speed manual.

Hi, Would any E type owner have the dimentions for the origianl long skirt pistons. IE, piston height, height to gudgon pin, ring measurements etc. My engine is 9 - 1 compression and Im looking at getting long skirt pistons made. Geoff, if its not to much trouble a couple of photos would be good.
I dont have the wheel barrow exhaust pipes. I changed them to just strait out the rear. I think some one said they were series1 pipes. I dont like the wheel barrow type pipes.

3rd brake light

Has any member fitted a 3rd brake light to the top of a 2+2 rear window. I have had a number of people almost hit me up the rear. The brake lights are quite low on sereies 2 and I expect people have trouble seeing the brake lights

I took thermostat out today and as I guesed it was perfect, not stuck at all. I took car for a good run yesterday afternoon and temp needle ran between N & O on the normal on gauge. At home I let it idle till the thermofans cut in at L on normal. So I will leave things as they are. The engine temp w...

I havent taken thermostat out yet, the temp at thermostat is 74Deg C, the thermostat is a 74 Deg one. I do have 2 spare genuine Jaguar thermostats. The radiator is not hot. My car at normal operating temp the needle sat between N & O on normal. The thermostat is 74 deg and it is a genuine Jaguar thermostat made in UK. The engine is not hot. Hi, I recently did a 1500klm trip in E type ans she went good. How ever I notice coolant temp running cooler than normal. I checked for leaks, all good.
