I sold my Classic Fabs exhaust system on here for £800. It had done 2,700 miles.
Same reason; too loud for touring (but beautifully engineered).
Put a Bell SS on from SNGB - delighted.

Gearbox Filler Plug
Would anyone know the dimensions of the Gearbox Filler Plug on a late S2 please. Plug on the drivers side.
Want to purchase a specific ring spanner for this job so thought I would check. Don’t have one big enough.
Thanks

Car lift
I received an email from SNGB advertising a car ramp. I think it would be quite useful as I do not have the height for a full lift and only rent my workshop (so not permanent fittings). Does anyone have any experience of using one of these please? Thanks Ash https://i.postimg.cc/Jhh3rRQ7/B5-DDC3-B8-...

Re: Fosseway Performance Heat shield.
I have had one on my S2 for a couple of years now. Absolutely delighted with it. No heat issues with servo and it looks superb. I have many Fosseway items on my car. Pleased with them all. No affiliation. Cheers Ash https://i.postimg.cc/pLLSYKY2/6-FB1693-F-CEC1-4313-B1-FE-FA6897-FB1-F0-F.jpg

Congratulations SNGB!
Some very genuine and sincere words on here that I shall not try to emulate. Will simply add my agreement.

Re: Oil pressure gauge and water temp gauge issue
Don’t go too thin. Needs to be in the 20/50 range.
I always use Penrite and they have just changed it to 20W /60.
But respect oil choice is quite a personal thing. Everyone has their preference.

John I have large printing facilities at work and have sent out quite few large prints of the harness diagrams to forum members. They are a very useful workshop/garage addition and seem to be well received. No charge - it’s my small way of giving something back. PM your address if interested and wil...

Re: Area meetings
I hate all the car club politics nonsense. X does not get on with y so don’t go to that event. I don’t talk to z so we never invite… and so on… I am in JEC, JDC, E Type Club. Use them all for different reasons and events. Had some wonderful occasions and memories over the years with my car and have ...

Re: Smiths gauge seals
Thanks for all replies. Appreciated, as always. I used Danbury Hydraulics too and was delighted with the quality of the seals. An interesting issue when reassembling and refitting this afternoon. The clock on my car is powered through the loom. One of the loom connectors was too small to fit over th...

Smiths gauge seals
Hi all I am cleaning up the gauges on my S2 and now I have them in pieces (maybe foolishly) I am struggling to source the rubber seals to rebuild. The seal between the bezel and the glass. Mine could not be described as rubber any more - more lumps of substance! That said, 52 years old so they have ...

Ashtray renovation
Hi all
Not my most complex workshop task for the winter months but am keen to freshen up the Ashtray on my S2.
Anyone had particular success with a recommended paint and/or process?
Cheers

Re: Ignition light Issue
Hi Darren My similar car to yours developed the same fault. Replaces the 3AW module with an updated one from SNGB and it resolved the flicker. Sits above the voltage regulator where the main loom exits into the engine compartment. Bolted to the frame/bulkhead in this picture (brown circle towards yo...
