Help to identify this toolkit - ? I believe from XK / XKE era

Hello
Is anyone able to help me identify which model the tools and case in the attached photos are from please ?
I know the kit is incomplete and I'm not sure exactly what's missing.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Stainless steel exhaust system - tinny sound

Thank you David and Mark, that is very helpful.
Any advice from anyone about where I can get mild steel resonators that will easily fit onto the pipes and fittings of the new Bell SS system and sound like my EType 'should' ?
Thanks, Peter

Stainless steel exhaust system - tinny sound

Hi everyone. On my 3.8 FHC, I have replaced the old batterrred and bruised exhaust system with a brand new Bell Stainless Steel system. Whilst the new system looks great, I had underestimated what the difference in sound between the old system which I guess under all the crud was mild steel, and the...

Re: Series 1 3.8 reducing floor heat

I had the entire exhaust system ...manifolds (black), down pipes, mufflers, tail pipes... coated with silver colored Jet Hot type ceramic coating. Protects against rust and dramatically reduces radiant heat. Most industrial coating companies servicing offshore drilling operations have ovens that ar...

Re: Series 1 3.8 reducing floor heat

This is also a game of consequences. I heat proofed the gearbox tunnel area, the bell housing area, fitted the heat shields and lagged the exhaust pipes all the way to the rear silencers. After upgrading the fan in the heater box, I find I am not getting enough heat in the OTS cabin. There is a gre...

Series 1 3.8 reducing floor heat

Hi I am in the process of replacing the exhaust system on my 3.8 FHC. My understanding is that originally there was no heat shield but that these are now available to install and sit somewhere near the central mufflers. Can anyone confirm this for me and any thoughts on how effective this method is,...
