Re: S1 2+2 wiring loom and footwell

Recently finished mine with no problems in this area. I used a piece of metal conduit underneath the card cover shown in Trevors picture. Make sure the large P clip is in place in the footwell where the loom passes through into the engine bay. Its a bit of a bugger to fit. Has the installer correctl...

Front Bumper - whats going on

Started to reassemble the front bumpers on my '67 series 1. Bought the car disassembled with overiders detached. Trial fitted the bumpers before paint but not the overiders. Can't make out whats going on now the overiders are attached. https://i.postimg.cc/J0Psycf9/IMG-4236.jpg On the rear of the RH...

Windscreen Installation

I'd managed to install the rear window in my '67 2+2 Series 1 restoration but decided the front windscreen was a job for a pro - especially have shelled out over £450 on a new windscreen. Living in Mid Wales I was expecting a real hassle getting someone out here. My google search turned up a nationa...

Master craftsman still out there

If you you're thinking of having your cam covers polished read on. I had my 4.2 engine completely rebuilt by a very well known firm and the work included polishing the cam covers. The engine sat for over 12 months in its shrink wrap until the time to set things up for installation approached this mo...

Re: Series 1 2+2 Headlining Question

Got it. Thanks Peter. Looks like these parts are out of production anyway so I'll try without.

Series 1 2+2 Headlining Question

Interior refit kit arrives in the next few days and I'm looking at tackling the headlining on my Series 1 2+2. Bought the car fully disassembled and looking at the parts inventory I find I'm missing BD29352 and BD29353 rear right and left headliner grippers which I will have to purchase. I'm in the ...

Accelerator Stop plateGetting ready to install

Getting ready to begin reassembly of my Series 1 2+2. Checking the accelerator controls I realise I'm missing the accelerator stop plate C20639. Not sure of the function of this piece or if it goes above or below the bulkhead. I'd prefer to make one rather than pay £28 for a replacement. Could someo...

Clutch master cylinder replacement

I'm rebuilding my 1967 late Series 1 2+2. The pedal box and rear brakes are all Series 2 and it was fitted with the longer hydrostatic slave cylinder. All seem to be original - maybe part of the changeover to Series 1.5/2 cars?? The clutch master cylinder attached to the pedal box is a cast iron Gir...
