Re: Key

Hallo Marek,

Strange indeed. My car is an early S3 and the Waso key doesn't fit.
Here is a foto of the key that belongs to my car.

Too bad I can't ask the pre owner.
Best regards

Sven

Key

Dear forum collegues, fixing electrical problems with my oil pressure gauge I have found a key behind the dasboard, screwed with the fuse holder for the rear window heating. First I thought it could be a 2nd ignition key but it doesn‘t fit to any lock of my car. So my question is if a 2nd key has be...

Re: spin on Oil Filter assy

:thankyouyellow:
I have grinded the washer to a 19mm diameter and could finally press the spring into the cup. The spare part is machined from aluminium.
So now the filter is mounted and I can wait for the coolcat part.

Best regards

Re: spin on Oil Filter assy

Hello dear forum colleagues, so today I received the spare parts for my oil filter canister from a well known big german parts supplier. Never having seen how the original parts look I tried to mount the filter assy. After half an hour under my car I realized that it is impossible to mount the assy ...

Re: spin on Oil Filter assy

I have ordered the coolcat adapter now. Until it arrives I want to use the original system. No I‘m wondering if the picture in the parts catalogue is correct that the rubber seal 12905 has to be put under the screw head. I think it should be between the washer and the canister. What is correct? Or d...

spin on Oil Filter assy

Dear forum colleagues, i have read a lot of posts concerning conversion to a spin on oil filter. Originally I wanted to keep the original parts but yesterday I found that the previous owner of my car didn‘t mount an oil filter. He has thrown out everything including spring, washers etc. (obviously h...

Re: intake manofold

Hello Marek, thank you for your quick response. The last owner of the car has closed a hose that connects there with a screw. Looking at the length I think it could be for the thermostatic valves in the air filter box which switch to pre warmed air when the engine is cold. :thankyouyellow: Best rega...

windscreen washer pump

Dear forum colleagues,

is it possible to source a new rubber gear for the washer pump?
Sounds perhaps ridiculous but I want to keep my old pump.
All aftermarket parts don‘t look like the original one.

Heater pipe bracket

Dear forum colleagues,

I found a loose bracket C35017 on a heater pipe at the rear of my V12.
The pipe goes from the heater to the engine block.
I have no Idea, where it has to be fixed.
Can someone give me advice or send me a picture? :helpsos:

Best regards

Fan temperature sensor

Dear forum colleagues, taking the cooling system apart I found that the housing for the Otter switch is completely corroded. But only from the outside :wow: I even have holes which go completely through the material. I don't know how this could happen. Now I want to install a coolcat temp sensor. Ca...
