Re: S1.5 Instrument Wiring
I have just completed the wiring in my Series 1.5. I used a complete Auto Sparks wiring loom. There were a few mistakes but I am doing a right hand drive conversion and the 1.5 is a bit of a pain as it can combine Series 1 and 2 components. Try this wiring diagram It’s the only one I needed. Keep in...

Exhaust Manifold. What’s the difference?
I purchased a pair of original e type exhaust manifolds and had them ceramic coated. They look fantastic but to my horror the flange is not the same as the original and my new exhaust won’t bolt up to it. In the picture the upper manifold is the original. Can anyone tell me what the lower one is ple...

Under Bonnet Paint
I’d like to think this is a simple question but I see many different finishes. I’m about to paint the bonnet and would like to know what the correct finish is underneath. Is it all painted the same as the car? Are the wheel guards stone guarded black? Are the wheel guards stone guarded and then colo...

Bonnet wiring plug
Hi,
I’m wanting to reuse the 8 pin bonnet plug but would like to replace the rubber boot and plastic sheath. Dose anyone sell these parts on their own?
Cheers,
Richard

Series 1.5 wiper motor
I’m looking to replace the wiring loom in my series 1.5. The DL3A wiper motor is unique to this model and only has 3 wires plus an earth. Can anyone tell me if the original wiring loom for the 1.5 has 3 wires or did jaguar install the standard 5 wire loom and just not use a couple of wires.
Cheers,

Re: Door mirrors
Thanks everyone for the replies. My question was largely about the aesthetics of the car, not so much about the technique of using them. It is good to see however that no matter what point of view is offered it is obvious that everyone is sincere about safe driving and other road users. I have done ...

Door mirrors
From what I can see the series 1.5 only came with one mirror on the drivers side. Did Jaguar ever install two mirrors on the e type?
Would anyone recommend a mirror on both sides?
Who is selling the best aftermarket mirrors?
Cheers

Re: Wiper motor rebuild
Phil I was lucky enough to find a NOS wiper motor. Although it had never been used I I rebuilt it as the grease had set hard and I did an overhaul inspection and test. As good as new

Re: Series 1.5 seats
Thanks for the pictures. Very helpful. It looks like I’m missing the large springs on the side,it’s not easy when your not the one who took it apart
It’s a bit of a pain but I’ll stick with the original seats
Cheers

Wiper motor rebuild
Hi guys,
I have just rebuilt my wiper motor. It’s all back together but I packed the gears with standar bearing grease. I’m now thinking that perhaps I should have used a grease designed for plastic gears.
Any suggestions or recommendations please?

Series 1.5 seats
Help...... I have turned my attention to the interior as I wait patiently on my body work to be completed. The seats have been completely disassembled. I have no idea how they go together other than two piles marked left and right. If anyone had the forethought to take photos of the disassembly proc...

Hi Barry, Could you perhaps share with me Julian’s contact details. I have just been sent a very expensive fuel tank that is clearly damaged. Thanks Jeremy,
Mine is a series 1.5 and has the padded radio surround on the front. I think it’s been altered to fit an after market AC unit that I know was installed in the USA.
