Thanks Geoff, I dont think you can shim back shimming will only increase the gap. What has been done on here is take 5mm out of the width of the hinges, so i asked the question had anyone produced a reduced width hinge. I will let you know how my fitting goes. Hi Having read all the info on series 1 bonnet moving away from the bulhead when fitting the spring balances 5mm causing a larger than needed gap at the bulkhead. I cant really see how this happens if the hinge bolts are tight no amount of flexing would cause a 5mm increase. im just about to fit my ...

Yes and I sent a coloured copy of the heritage certificate to DVLA who also stated the vehicle was not inspected by the E type club.

My first application has been rejected by DVLA stating the etype club letter of support does not prove when the vehicle was built they pointed me to JEC or JDC i think i will get it inspected by a recognised firm experienced in this can anyone advise further.

Hi Just fitting the trims around my series 2 headlight pods, very pleased im not the only one to have aged attempting this. Hi My series 2 is nearing ready for spraying i cant find on here the order of trial fitting the chrome in particular the headlight trims which im told are pop riveted can anyone point me in the right direction, ie are the pop rivets put in place and then slide the trims over them or are they fitted ...

Can you recommend a supplier of inertia seat belts for a series 2 roadster. Quick fit safety belt advertise a belt for each model but without seeing it its difficult to visualise.
Any thoughts.
