Re: Off the Road for 25 Years, On the road in 8 weeks

James,
Dave Gardiner has done 2 projects for me both SS100s very good work. He mentioned the course at Colchester. Looks like the course gave you a good grounding for vehicle restoration.

James

When you did your course at Colchester did David Gardiner lecture on it.

I was a surveyor for many years before starting property developing.

Paint

Hi
Opinions please as to what type of paint to use on my series 2 restoration, i assume the original was cellulose but very difficult to have done now. The options seem to be two pack or base and top coat of lacquer. Has anyone experience of two pack fading after a few years.

Angus
Just a follow up to my earlier post i meant it was great to be talked to in layman's terms with not a load of baffling technical jargon, not sure the earlier post read as i intended.

LHD/RHD conversion series 2 OTS

Hi I have been searching for details or drawings or measurements of the alterations needed to the brake and clutch pedal arms when switching over to RHD. I have moved the pedal box over and it appears very little if any cranking is necessary, the throttle pedal position is fixed giving the available...

Brake and clutch cylinders

I read i think on here that its better to get NOS clutch and brake cylinders, master and slave cylinders etc. I have bought a new servo but unsure whether to get new cylinders of the shelf as i have not seen any NOS around. An alternative is to have the existing ones restored by a good company only ...

( i assume Bill Terry thinks the same as he has gone to the trouble of making a video showing the correct fitting procedure for h...
