Re: Quick Release Steering Wheel

Hello all my fellow E-Type lovers.....once again, I have a question that I hope someone can answer. Never too old to learn. The question is simply.....why ?? Why would you go to the trouble and expense of adding a quick release to a street car ?? In my early days, I professionally drove Formula Atla...

Re: thicker Moto-Lita steering wheel

Looking at all the steering wheel choices, all beautiful, I think at the end of the day, you can not make a bad, or mis-guided decision. Its like asking the forum what tie to wear to the reading of the will of your late mother-in-law........no such thing as a bad choice.
Enjoy !

Re: V12 Oil Pressure

Continued good luck with your V-12 Nick. Remember, once warm, and at idle, lets say 750 rpm, pressure should read around 10psi. When running, rule is, 10lbs psi for every 1000 rpm's (+ /- )......that's a healthy V-12.

All the best,

Re: Security Query

Carsten: Oh my...no I don't have a gun. However, I do recall that as I pulled him out of my E-Type, he was a bit excited, and mysteriously tripped over my foot, which sadly, caused him to fall , head first of course, into a brick wall opposite my parked E. The police informed me it was several month...

Well thats the UK. Much safer here in NYC. Once in 45 years did some jerk try to steal my E, but he could not drive a stick, and he foolishly tried while I was standing near by. Silly boy.

Re: Door Drain Hole Shroud

If you have a door that does not drain, why not simply climb under with a proper drill and pop one or two holes in the door, cover edge of holes with a bit of waterproofing, and your done. What is the problem?.....please explain. Before you drill, of course, check to see if original holes are clogge...

Re: TYRE QUERY

Try Goodyear Advantage tires. They make a 205 / 70 /15. Great tire . Does everything you will ask of it well, and long lasting to boot. Reasonably priced as well. Enjoy.

Try Goodyear Advantage A/S tires...cheaper, great handling, easily get 40K miles. I'm sure they make the size you need.

Re: Changing a clutch a 9 to 5 job !

Alter the original driveshaft (shorter), not insert a new, non-standard driveshaft. If you will check early post, you will see that I suggested to all to drop me a pvt line, and I will be more then happy to discuss with anyone, except you, of course , on how to install a 5 speed in any E-Type. FYI.....
