Series 2 DHC Blue Reg 3WBJ - Circa 1980
Hi I've been routing through old photos today and come across one I took out of the back window of my Dad's Renault 12TS en-route to Cornwall in about 1980 when I was not even into my teens! It's of a blue S2 registered 3WBJ. According to DVLA that number now belongs to a Mitsubishi. I wondered if a...

Re: Nice one. 29k Series one 3.8 for sale
I think the point here is anomalies pop up - such as my car. FHC - 860868 without the cutaway behind the seat and the early seats. It has a really low by number stamped onto the rear number plate panel (about 130 ish). Registered November '62. I suspect the car sat around somewhere for some time pri...

Just do what's easiest for you based on the insight you've gained so far. I'm appreciative of whatever you need to do to keep the forum going.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: New Forum
Just a big thank you to David for the unseen work to make this happen. About 10 / 8 years ago when I was looking for an E-Type forum there was nothing to read and I just stuck with my Triumph and Land Rover forums that were well attended. It was only a month or so ago that I looked again and found t...

Thank you Michael, that explains it; the early body number being the true reference to creation rather than the chassis number. I'm pretty sure the bonnet that came with the car wasn't original to the car - based on colours. But it was too far gone to rescue even if it was. When I took the rear axle...

Hi. Interestingly I own 860868 - owned it for 30 years. The floors on mine are flat and the rear bulkhead is flat. I was the first person to remove the rotten floors and replace them. It also took some searching to find rear lights that fitted the contours of the shell as it is a different shape (lo...
