Re: Brake bleeding problems - silicone fluid

I dont see any argument with one side trying to prove the other wrong.....its simply a matter of choice.....but to make an informed decision you need as many facts as possible....thats what the forum is about.....all the posts here will hopefully still be available long after most of us have gone......

Re: 4.2 flywheel ring gear damage

Hi James...there are also small bush/locators that fit in the bolt holes on the plate to centralise it on the bellhousing....you should see that the bellhousing has partially enlarged bolt holes to accept the bushes.. Steve

Re: 4.2 flywheel ring gear damage

Hi Mark...the standard setup for a 4.2 is with a spigot plate between the starter motor and bellhousing https://www.sngbarratt.com/uk/#!/Englis ... c141e49282 so if you replace the starter you need to find out if you use the same plate... Steve

Re: Torsion bar adjustment

Hi George...sorry for that, did not appreciate you had uprated bars.......think as you suggest it will be trial and error to get the ride height you want.......dont know of any info that will detail what setting link you would need.....after all they are uprated for a firmer ride but to what specifi...

Re: Torsion bar adjustment

Hi George...there is no trial and error in setting the torsion bars......the details are in the Jaguar service manual very easy to follow.....you will need to make up setting links to position the car in the mid laden position then set the torsion bars... Steve

Re: Rear Bumper Rubber

Hi Simon...cant say im convinced by any of the photos you posted, they are not close or clear enough to confirm if the rubber wrappes around....re Chris Rooke I just looked up the section on fitting the rubber we says he didnt know how to end the rubber seals so he cut his flush with the end of the ...
