Hi Eilott....dont know what setup you have for your oil sender..quite often extra adaptors can be added..this is the sort of thing you should .... Steve

Hi Eliott...the oil sender has a hex connector under the can.....you need to undo it there...not sure what you mean by light sensor... Steve

Couldnt agree more Christopher.....not worth the paper they are written on......If you maintain you vehicle yourself then you know exactly what condition its is in....if you dont maintain yourself then have it professionally serviced and thoroughly checked each over each year by someone that underst...

Hi Ralph.....had a similar problem.....took ages to find.....was just a loose wire in one of the crimp connectors on the coil.......from the ignition switch......i had tested all the wireing with a meter and all was ok....finally used a wire direct from battery via a switch in the cabin to the coil ...

Hi Andy...it is a drain hole.....this only came up a few months ago on the forum....try pushing a thin wire down it to make sure its clear...i think it will come out at the bottom of the chrome covering the A post.... Steve

Hi Hugo....have a look at the link i posted above.....it shows the Spacer..actually a Spigot plate.....its fitted on the 4.2 between the bellhousing and the starter motor..its shown on most of the parts diagrams....unfortunatly its hit and mis when you remove the starter if the plate is left behing ...

I dont see any argument with one side trying to prove the other wrong.....its simply a matter of choice.....but to make an informed decision you need as many facts as possible....thats what the forum is about.....all the posts here will hopefully still be available long after most of us have gone......

Quite a few Replica/kit cars are registeted a Jaguar Sports......where parts from a Jaguar doner car (xj6, etc) have been used to recreate one of the older Jaguar models..C..D.,etc....the DVLA quite often record tbem as Jaguar Sport.....my concern is why do you want to purchase registration document...

Hi James...there are also small bush/locators that fit in the bolt holes on the plate to centralise it on the bellhousing....you should see that the bellhousing has partially enlarged bolt holes to accept the bushes.. Steve

Hi Mark...the standard setup for a 4.2 is with a spigot plate between the starter motor and bellhousing https://www.sngbarratt.com/uk/#!/Englis ... c141e49282 so if you replace the starter you need to find out if you use the same plate... Steve
