Re: Connecting a trickle charger
Hi Mart, the vehicle side connector seems not to be an SAE 71 style connector. If it would be one, then Ctek sells the interface Artikelnr. 56-564. The best pictures are on Amazon https://www.amazon.de/CTEK-Anschlusslitze-SAE-Schnellanschlusses-versiegelte-Batteriestatus/dp/B002X6DQUA/ref=asc_df_B00...

still not for me, but at €385.000, this OBL-OTS seems a bargain in comparison

No snow here in Upper Bavaria, although the alpine mountains have white caps. The E-Type sleeps at +5deg Celcius.

Re: Fuel lines in and out of fuel filter
Thank-you, David and Christopher,
I will follow your advice, get white fuel line tubing and make the feed line myself. I will report on the result.

Fuel lines in and out of fuel filter
I could use your advice again. One of the PO's has installed a plastic inline fuel filter between the fuel filter (engine bay) and the carbs. A rubber hose was used. I would like to replace it with something that looks like from the factory fit series, like this one in post #157 http://forum.etypeuk...

There are other ways to handle this. Re: Experimental Borrani wheels for Series 1
Serge, no it wasn't me putting the wheels on eBay-Kleinanzeigen. I was also interested as a customer, but having practically new Daytons (2019) on my E-Type, I just wanted to know about the offer and the RW-number. It would not have been far from me to have a look at the wheels (Ingolstadt). The guy...

Re: Experimental Borrani wheels for Series 1
Dear Serge, the E-mail from Borrani's Matteo Bososio was forwarded to the vendor of the wheels by me. I was confused by the number RW575 and the single picture in the ad and had sent an E-mail to Borrani one Sunday night. The answer was in my inbox only one day later with more detail than I had hope...

Re: [edited] Spin on oil filter vs retrofitting OEM filter housing on Series 1
Thank-you, Steve, for your quick reply. Your picture looks like the one taken by Jan in post #19. Thanks for the confirmation! Without this plate, I would not even need a filter element  Now I need only the part number and/or a chat with "the usuals". There is still enough time before sprin...

Re: [edited] Spin on oil filter vs retrofitting OEM filter housing on Series 1
:helpsign: Dear fellow forum members, I am still confused as to which parts go into my S1 3.8 Oil Cleaner. Jan (post#19) shows a picture of a clamping plate that closes centre hole of the filter on the engine block side. Andrew (post#43) does not show a clamping plate, but only the pressure plate. A...

Thread revival! Re: Front Bumper - whats going on
To me it looks like a mismatched pair of front and rear overriders. The one in the picture on the right looks like a front R/H and the other one with the gap like a rear R/H; still sloped wrong. It could be a crappy repro.

Re: chassis 62
It does look nice! The AVON cross-ply CR39 Supersafety 640-15 are made for a top speed of 130km/h, according to the German AVON website. I thought already that this fits to a car that may not see spirited driving any more (like my 3hour drive today on narrow Bavarian roads - with 185/15 Michelins). ...
