The very last part to fit on my car is the heater duct. The bulkhead it fits to has no holes other than those used to hold bonnet together. Only two of these would be if any use to hold the duct. The matchless is a 1961 G2S, so a 250. Quite a rare one as only built for one year. Lovely little thing

Update 😊 The clutch issue turned out to be a burr on the stainless sleeve which was not letting the little valve seat correctly, hence with each press of the pedal some of the fluid was returning to the reservoir on the return stroke leaving the pedal increasingly low. Ok, thanks. I’ve sent the V5 back to DVLA. So long as they correct the ‘declared manufactured’ date to 63 I’ll be happy. Hopefully they’ll also issue an ‘A’ suffix plate too, or even better a dateless. Chris.

Thanks everyone, that all makes sense, and explains why my March 63 car is dateless. I think I’ll still go back to DVLA and try to get the year of manufacture changed to 63, it doesn’t look good to have 63 on the heritage cert and 64 on the V5.
