Just to completely confuse the issue, here is obviously a genuine LHD US car but with what I had considered RHD wiper parking. Perhaps it was just cars for export that had these anomalies.

Re: LHD RHD and windscreen wiper park position
This is one of the E-Types I spotted which did not appear to have correctly parking wipers. This particular car does seem totally genuine and was apparently a RHD export model for South Africa. https://s10.postimg.org/6e5wsomxl/9702318.jpg https://s10.postimg.org/6e5wspa2x/3329_uxga_021d9a898b7111df...

LHD RHD and windscreen wiper park position
Having studied many adverts for LHD and RHD mainly S3 E-types it dawned on me that the windscreen wipers always park in front of the driver. Obviously this gives a full arc of wipe in front of the driver. This seemed to follow until I noticed an E-type claimed to be original UK RHD but with the wipe...

Re: New Member seeking S3
Well I never realised you could check MOT history, very interesting thank you mgcjag. I followed the Barons auction online, the bidding stopped at £29.5k plus auction fees. Looking at the MOT history there is mention of rust underneath and repairs needed in rear seat belt fixing area. I also noticed...

Re: New Member seeking S3
Thanks Tim, Thats interesting. I take it you have managed to look at the documents available before the auction. I cant travel to look at anything at the moment, my wife has been too ill and now the snow is not helping. Its giving me more time to study the prices cars are selling for rather than the...

Two seat FHC
The more I look at E-Types the more I keep finding 2 seat FHCs. I had always assumed they were 2+2s. What was the idea behind just 2 seats, was it just an American market thing or more general? Was the 2 seat option available in all 3 series?

Re: New Member seeking S3
Thank you, I have seen that car advertised. Very nice colour combination, its a bit early to give up on wanting a manual but some cars just call out to you.

New Member seeking S3
Im a new member in the UK on the Norfolk Suffolk border looking for my first E-Type. Like most people I adore the looks of S1 and S2 cars but am really drawn to the more brutal V12 of the sadly much maligned S3. I would prefer a manual 2+2 RHD S3 and am quite happy to do any work on the car apart fr...
