This might help. I finally routed mine similar to the photos shown near the end of the thread.

Re: Dynamator by Stealth
I have the Fosseway Dynator on my 1963 OTS. Fits perfectly and looks like the original dynamo. I’ve put a few hundred miles on mine since I installed it and no problems. It works great from my perspective. Installation was easy. It has a built in voltage regulator so you by-pass the voltage regulato...

Re: Fosseway brake upgrade
You know....I have no idea. Plated perhaps. I just went out and scraped it with a metal object and the finish didn’t come off, so I doubt it’s painted unless it’s powder coated, and I don’t think it is. I really never gave it much thought. It was like that when I bought the car. I think I’ll just te...

Re: Fosseway brake upgrade
Some additional photos. The brakes are finished and are great. Better pedal feel which is what I was after. Still bedding in the pads but very happy with final results. And, again, Simon at Fosseway is great to deal with. https://s33.postimg.cc/w0wwvwltb/245_AE39_C-_AD1_E-4_BA3-8117-_AA2026_A9_F9_F7...

Take a look at these recommended pressures for some examples of tire pressure for E-types:

Re: Fosseway brake upgrade
An update. Was able to finish one side this afternoon. Again, an easy installation. Left side is now fully installed and bled. Will do the right side sometime in the next couple of days as I need some brake fluid. Here are the photos of the finished left side. https://s31.postimg.cc/z9iqlctd7/5_E337...

Fosseway brake upgrade
Just thought I’d post some photos and info related to my Fosseway brake upgrade installation. First, kudos to Simon at Fosseway for great communications. He answered all my questions quickly and was pleasant to deal with. I had a very minor issue that he resolved quickly for me over the weekend. I c...

Re: Spam email complaint
Pete...wait...I don’t sound local because I apologized? :wow: I’m in Potomac. This car will never see a slalom course. She’s too old and has many issues still to be resolved. My track days are behind me. I tracked, instructed, and raced with PCA for years in a stripped out 1972 911 with a 1...

Re: Spam email complaint
I’m the one who sent that note to David. As an explanation, this is in fact the only site I signed up to in the recent timeframe, and within 24 hours my inbox was slammed with lots spam using the email address I signed up with. Did I jump to conclusions? Perhaps. But it was, in fact, my only activit...

Wheel size?
I have wire wheels on my bastardized survivor 1963 OTS. They are manufactured under license from Dunlop. I’m trying to figure out the rim width without having to unmount a tire and actually measuring the inner width. I’ve attached a photo of the stamping numbers inside the rim of the spare wheel/tir...

Re: Dynamo conversion
I pulled the trigger on the Fosseway Dynator. Will provide feedback after the install. Also decided to upgrade to the standard Fosseway lightweight 4-piston calipers in silver with color-matched logos so not as eye-catching as black logo on silver caliper. Will also report back after the install.

By the way, she is negative ground already and I will be replacing the ammeter with a Smith voltmeter.

Dynamo conversion
Hi all. I’ve got a rather bastardized survivor LHD 1963 3.8L OTS which has a C45 dynamo and I’d like to replace it with an alternator which looks like the C45. There are lots of options out there of course and I’m wondering what the latest thinking is in terms of quality of product, reliability, cus...
