Thank you for your words of encouragement. Pete you must be a physic, that green car with the nasty V8 came with its original engine or motor as they say this side of the pond. So I had this wonderful idea of carrying out an economic refurb with a budget paint job and dropping the original engine in...

I can confirm that Dominic and Marcus Holland have taken over E-type UK. Dominic and Marcus are father and son. Its been difficult for Kate and I to run the business whilst residing in California. Dominic and Marcus will be able to invest the time and resources to take the company forward. Once I ha...

Yes the trim still smells the way it did when it was new. It has Dunlop SP Sports all round, they might need changing though.

Thank you for your kind offer Pete. As you are doing me such a favor, I will pick up the tab for delivery to your place. The car is about 250 numbers before the 1 1/2. Ive read all about 1.25's but I think Jaguar would call it a late S1 with open headlights. Even the 1 1/2's read as S1's on the Jagu...

Is it me or the car?

There I was on the 3rd of November going about my daily routine just heading off to the paint shop to check on a couple E-types I'm having painted. Heading down the freeway in a 1962 E-type Roadster with the roof down, sun shinning thinking this is the life. I noticed someone in the car next to me t...

It didn't show up on the Stolen register or with Customs. It must have been the back office that picked it up.

I know in the UK if you HPI a car you can pay extra which safe guards the buyer in any event like this.

It would be ?25 well spent.

The well reputed jaguar restorer in California bought the car incomplete and replaced all the missing parts and then sold it to the dealer in Holland. Half way across the pond US Customs put a hold on the container and had the whole container returned complete with the other three cars. When it all ...

Angus my heart goes out to you. We have a customer wanting to pick his car on Monday, however after two new servo's we still can't get a firm pedal. I've had enough of it and from now on we will only rebuild genuine servo's, after all we have a pile of them in the stores. This is why you can't beat ...

This is the best of both worlds. I'm here but solving your problem there. You could take a hammer to it, as they say if in doubt give it a clout.

When I had the problem shortening was the only solution.

Afternoon Mr H I had a new bonnet centre replace a few years ago and when the car came back the motif bar was 1 inch too long. As the car was then in paint as is yours, I had to shorten the Motif Bar and re chrome it. I never did get an answer from the body shop as to how they married the Belly pan ...
