Stoneguard - felt, rubber ??

Hi all, just a quick one to ask whether something should be attached to the LHS stoneguard ? Should there be a strip of felt or rubber, noting it is quite close to the exhaust pipe. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Glenn https://i.postimg.cc/MHgShmK8/Stoneguard2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc...

FHC Rear Door Hinges

Hello forum, Just a quick question…..for my ‘64 3.8 FHC. Are the 2 hinges for the rear door identical ? - mine are not (one slightly narrower than the other) I think the part number is BD20261 ( I don’t have a parts book), so I think they should be the same. A quick confirmation will help me greatly...

Window Channel Felt FHC

Hello all, Just a quick one - I have a 3.8 FHC. The channel felt is new for the door from one of the UK “usuals”. It is for the glass to slide inside (front, rear and top). I’ve searched and cannot find anything to tell me whether side “A” or “B” should be to the outside. I’ve had a look at my moder...

Re: S1 3.8 bonnet mouth shape and dimensions (factory)

Hello all, I am in a similar position to Mark (FHC1964) was last year. We are now working on my bonnet and would love to have the mouth looking right (with the understanding that there are different "rights"). So if anyone has any mouth dimensions at all that they can share with me, then we would ap...

3.8 FHC Door Detail

Hello forum, Would someone somewhere in lock-down world be able to post a photo or two of a finished car (3.8 FHC) showing the same part of the door as is being pointed out in this photo (where the window frame enters the door). I live 3 hours from Melbourne and am not allowed to travel to look at o...

Sorry Joe,
Just measured the two arms & mine are identical. I’ll come back your comment if I have trouble on installation with the travel of the wipers. Thanks again for the tip.

Re: Wipers - RHD bench test video

Thanks Joe, There’s no conversion here - my car is original RHD Australian delivered. We were careful when we dismantled it to label the arms (assuming they were correct). Thanks for the heads up. I won’t assume everything is spot on when we re-install it. It was just nice to see it operate after do...

Fuel and Brake Lines

Hello all, I have given up looking to find the correct location of the brake and fuel lines underneath the car, and how they are connected to the chassis. C10268 or just C10406# ? I cannot trust what we pulled apart is correct and would greatly appreciate help/direction/photos to run these lines cor...

Thank you both Christopher and Mike. We will use your information to keep the project moving - just what we needed. And thank you, Christopher, for the tip about it not being a “mount”. We will take your advice and refer to the manual and fit it correctly. Australia is a great place to restore a Jag...
