Re: SNG Barratt User Group

Many thanks again for those who took the time to come and see us and share their views a couple of weeks ago. I think it is safe to say that everyone who took part from the SNG Barratt side gained hugely from the experience and knowledge of the Forum insiders and to follow are a few of the key take-...

Re: SNG Barratt User Group

Barry is correct, the products in the UK all mirror those in the USA so any changes would affect both sites (as well as those in Holland and France).

Re: Sovy Failure

I will report back on the current manufacturing process in a bit more detail shortly alongside what we find from the return from Richard. I stand by my original comments with regards to our plan moving forward as outlined before. I didnt point out previously that we have our own bottles fitted to ou...

Re: SNG Barratt Hillclimb

Thanks all for coming along despite the weather - which lead to some exciting moments in the morning, even in the 4 wheel drive F-type and it was with some relief that i saw 50EE reach the summit of each run to be honest! Steve - yes your wife was a memorably crazy passenger with me but she came bac...

To update on this one from our QC team: Having reviewed the material specification with positive results, we can further advise that our long term test examples that have been in constant exposure to both clean and contaminated brake fluid, have not revealed any detrimental effects or resulted in an...

SNG Barratt Hillclimb

Amazingly, we have a handful of spaces left for the SNG Barratt Hillclimb on the 8th June at Shelsley Walsh this year so if any forum folk are interested in coming along, please get in touch ASAP. It one of my favourite days of the year, as those who have been before will know - basically, what you ...

Re: Problems fitting courtesy light switches

Ok so we have had a look into this and we could definitely do better on these switches - the current ones are a bit more interference fit than optimal! The ones on our own E-type look like they have taken some effort to install. We do some of the assembly of these in-house, but the components are bo...

Re: Problems fitting courtesy light switches

I know how frustrated customers get with the "its never happened before" response so i will find the culprit in this case! In fairness to our team we have had zero returns on these in 2018 or 2019 and we sell hundreds, but that doesnt mean its not worth investigating. I will ensure my team look into...

Re: New locking boot cable hasn’t lasted a day! Now unable to open boot

Hi John, I have sent a message to our head technician to see if he knows a trick here to get the boot open and will come back to you tonight if we do. Maybe someone on here will come back to you before then. Either way, we will give you a bell in the morning to get the cable back and work our what’s...

I will be at the Jaguar National Rally from 29th March to 1st April (www.jaguarnationalrally.org.au) so, if you are there, come and find me for ...

Re: Fuel filter (Glass Bowl)

Hi Steve, As requested, i have spoken to our head technician and this is our take on these filters: We (and Jaguar) offer the element filter as a replacement to the original cleanable gauze filter. With an original gauze fitted (7299), the fuel from the tank enters the bowl and is filtered –ish by t...

Agree with the original comment that the description on the difference between the cork and rubber gasket via our website is no good/non existent! I will ensure this is updated. We are working on a large program of improving the descriptions of the parts so you should start to see some improvements ...
