Re: early screen washer bottle query

All

The imperial sizes were strange, length that is...19/32” long, but a tidy 3/8” diameter

They most certainly were not the SNG length...!

Re: Museum of Modern Art Series 1 Jaguar

Just to say the first time I went to NY around a dozen years ago I had the pleasure of finding this car in the museum....and what a joy that was....sadly my last visit 8 years ago didn’t allow a second viewing as the car was in storage....sure did look lovely first time round...

Re: E-type illustrations - colour help

Love the style..... Ditto on the top shot...a similar view from the rear would be good. :bouncyyellow: The low down views numbers 1 and 4 are good...but I find the rear one just too low and focus too much on the underside of the floor... raising it so the bumpers are at eye level to me would be bett...

Malc

I used a product called Alubright from Race Glaze

Effective and quite gentle

Being an anorak.... I then sprayed the hubs with clear lacquer....

Re: New year's day Brooklands

Excellent turn out....good to see it so popular...I had to queue for 10 mins at 08.45, but no big deal....happy for Brooklands to be able to reap the success
Seem to recall 1500 cars was busy 2 years ago so that might mean more than 2,000 today..!

There might be a bit of an E - 911 thing as well. Another great, reliable, all year round sports car!
Yup...+1 on that combination, early 911’s are phenomenal cars, so well engineered and constructed, designed from the onset with years of potential development

Re: Triplex headlamp covers.

Hi

Likely to be pin marks from the mechanism that gripped and held them during the toughening process....not seen on modern glass so much if at all as the toughening process can be done differently

Dark grey leather interior

Evening all

Do any of you people own an E Type with a Vaumol Connolly Dark Grey interior..?...I am considering it for my car and wondered what the original combination of the various materials looked like

Many thanks
Jonathan
